Australian Uyen Ha has had a successful MMA return, as she made quick work of her opponent at the Fairtex Fight Promotions event on Sunday.
Her opponent, Paweena Phalakan made the early mistake of trying to take her down and that allowed the Aussie to reverse and work to mount.
There, she unloaded with heavy strikes that forced Phalakan to turn. Ha continued with strikes before looking to wrap the arm around the neck. Ha turned and forced her opponent to tap, only 1:21 into the contest.
A former Australian national wrestling team member, Ha moves her record to 3-1. Her lone loss came in her last outing, at the hands of fellow Aussie Kristy Obst on the One Warrior Series event in 2019.
The event took place at the famed Lumpinee Stadium in Thailand, which only last month began to host MMA bouts.
Ha lists Resilience Training Centre, Real Deal Boxing, and Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA as the gyms she trains out of.
