Tasmanian fight fans will get their next dose of Mixed Martial Arts on November 30 as local promotion Valor host Valor 6: Validation, at Albert Hall in Launceston.
The show will be headlined by a welterweight rematch between Damon Upton-Greer and David Butt. The fight will also serve as a title fight eliminator with the winner to go on and face welterweight champion Callan Potter in February, 2014.
Upton-Greer and Butt, both Tasmanian natives, squared off in their first encounter at Valor 4 where Upton-Greer came out on top, submitting Butt in the second frame.
Undefeated in the pro ranks, Queensland’s Eddie Trewin will meet Victorian fighter Hoshi Friedrich in the co-main event. Both fighters will be making their promotional debuts on the night.
A WMMA bout between Amy Adam, a student of Felise Leniu in Sydney, and local fighter Christina Tatnell is also scheduled for the event. Adam is coming off a loss to Lana Kate at AFC 5 while Tatnell is currently enjoying a two-fight win streak with wins over Shauna Carew and Nicole Maxwell.
Validation will be the tenth offering from Valor MMA since its inception back in mid-2012.
