Tasmanian based promotion Valor closed out 2014 at Albert Hall in Launceston tonight with Valor 9: Potter vs Dare.
In the main event, welterweight champion Callan ‘The Rockstar’ Potter successfully defended his title for the second time, knocking out Hobart’s Stuart Dare in the fifth round with a head-kick.
Meanwhile, Local fighter Adam Trickey scored an upset win over the Queensland’s David Butt in the co-main event to claim the promotion’s number one lightweight contender spot. With the win, which he captured with a first round knock-out, ‘The Submission Magician’ will go on to face current lightweight champion Adam ‘The Smiling Assassin’ Cook at a yet to be determined 2015 date.
