Tyler Manawaroa made an impressive debut at middleweight and took his professional MMA record to an undefeated 9-0 with a first-round submission victory over William Namoa at Warriors Realm 17 on Saturday night. The 18 year-old fighter was fighting in front of his home crowd on Saturday at the event held at the Maroochydore Basketball Stadium on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
The end came at 3:28 of the opening round by a rear-naked choke.
Also on the card, Manawaroa’s training partner Rob Giuffrida stopped Paul Ranse with a first-round TKO while Gokhan Turkyilmaz returned from training at the Tiger Muay Thai Gym in Phuket, Thailand to defeat Troy O’Connor from the Dog Factory in Townsville.
