Jake Matthews has had his three-fight winning streak snapped at UFC 259 in Las Vegas.
Taking on undefeated prospect Sean Brady, Matthews had his moments on the feet but was ultimately dominated by Brady in the grappling exchanges.
The first round started well for Matthews, dropping Brady with a right hand.

Brady quickly scrambled to his feet and managed to get on top of Matthews. From there, Brady showed he was a step ahead on the ground, smothering the Aussie with relentless top-pressure.
Matthews was finding his range well on the feet but Brady took him down in the second and again in the third round. Matthews was unable to get up from the bottom and the pressure eventually became too much, with Brady forcing Matthews to tap to a head and arm choke in the third.
