Wollongong Wars returns to Anita’s Theatre in Thirroul, NSW this Saturday night.
The event, which is the third offering from the promotion, will be headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Australian Top Team Sydney product Ashkan Mokhtarian and Melbourne based Kiwi Josh Karst. Mokhtarian is coming off a June win at Rebel FC 3 in China, submitting local veteran Honggang Yao. The thirty year-old has tasted defeat just once in his 10 plus fights, with that loss coming at the hands of Edwin Arana at Nitro 12.
In the co-main event, former CFC lightweight title holder and Legend FC veteran Rob Hill will look to steer his career back on track when he comes up against Luke Catubig for the promotion’s lightweight title.
Also slated for the show, recently crowned AFC heavyweight champion Brandon Sosoli takes on Mathew Wade. Sosoli was awarded the AFC strap with a first round TKO over Andre Meunier in the AFC 13 main event.
